Our new programme reflects the differing requirements of those seeking support.
For people who would benefit from support we have launched our ‘Feel Good Function Well’ programme. This is a 12 week course for clients over 50 to gain skills to promote wellbeing and build resilience. We cover issues including managing anxiety and depression, building assertiveness, managing stress and building self esteem. A further element includes meeting in the community. The aim of this community project is to create peer support groups for clients to participate in activities with their peers after the programme has completed, to ensure they feel connected to their local community and prevent relapsing mental health, isolation and loneliness.
We recognise that some individuals may require longer term support therefore; we provide a centre based day (formally Doves) where those older adults requiring a more supported and structured service can access meaningful activities that support them in their recovery by promoting social inclusion and providing support and information. At each session clients have access to a wide choice of activities.
We arrange for community and statutory organisations to deliver presentations about the services they provide, to ensure our clients are well informed and able to maintain their independence for as long as possible.

A transport service is available for those with mobility issues who otherwise would not be able to access the scheme (there is a small charge for this door to door service).
If you have a mobility problem we can arrange transport for you.
Each person participates in an initial goal focused personal assessment and review at 26 weeks. These sessions are offered on a one-to-one basis with experienced staff that supports individuals to recognise and work towards their own goals and action plan.
